Levels are rising at 100 South Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles. The project is entitled “The Grand,” and includes plans for two highrise buildings as well as a park. The privately-owned real estate firm behind the project is Related Companies, which is headquartered in New York and owns developments across the United States, as well as in Abu Dhabi and London.
Construction has started at 744 South Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles. The project is being developed by Mitsui Fudosan America. When completed, sky decks at the top of the building will offer views of the Financial District and vistas to the Hollywood Hills, Pacific Ocean, and beyond.
Construction is well underway at 215 West 14th Street in Downtown Los Angeles. MVE is the architectural firm behind the cascading, glass and concrete design. It has been entitled, “Emerald,” staying on theme with the client, Jade Enterprises, a real estate investment firm.
A new office building has been approved for development at 929 East 2nd Street in Downtown, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a mid-rise office-building offering spaces for offices, art studios, event management, and onsite parking. The new project calls for the redevelopment of the 1920s Challenge Cream & Butter Building. British developer Est4te Four Capital is the project developer. New York-based Morali Architects is responsible for the designs.
A new residential project has reached completion at 668 South Alameda Street in Downtown, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of apartments and retail along Alameda Street. AvalonBay Communities is the project developer. OfficeUntitled is designing the project, with AC Martin serving as executive architect.
