Affordable Housing Development Coming to 6329 North Clybourn Avenue, North Hollywood

Abbey Road Inc aims to create an affordable housing development that promotes a sustainable neighborhood with mixed-income households with the Sun Commons at 6329 North Clybourn Avenue. This venture is part of the larger ongoing movement to create and develop new and affordable living spaces in desirable places like North Hollywood, Los Angeles.

The Sun Commons is projected to amass a total land area of 101,108 square feet which will include 103 units ranging from studios to two-bedrooms, 101 of which will be reserved for low and extremely low-income households. Standing at 45 feet tall, reaching four stories high, the project will also include an underground parking structure with 106 parking spaces with at least 5% of the spots reserved for electric vehicle charging stations.

On the south side of the lot, a community garden will be implemented. The first floor is expected to have an open courtyard, rear courtyard, and community room for social gatherings and events. There will also be a community room on the third floor and a roof deck on the fourth floor.

KFA Architecture will be responsible for the design of the project with Bernards Builders Inc contracted with the construction. Demolition is still needed to take place of the two instructional buildings and 5 single family structures that are currently in place concluding that no time table has yet been set for the completion of this North Hollywood housing space.
