Framing has started to rise at 1530 North Cassil Place, in Hollywood, for Bond Companies’ development, which has firms in Chicago and Los Angeles. Called the “Inspire Hollywood,” the structure is tucked a few plots away from Sunset Boulevard. As part of the Transit Oriented Communities program, it is a short distance from the Red Line.

Plans for the building include 107,667 square feet reaching 87.83 feet tall, 200.12 feet long, 143.61 feet wide. Eight stories high in total, five of those stories will be dwelling units, over retail, a lobby, and parking. There will also be three basement levels for parking. In addition to the car parking, 127 long-term and 15 short-term bicycle parking spaces will also be included. Two hundred dwelling units will be inside, 20 of which will qualify as extremely low-income units.

DE Architects designed the project to be sensitive to the surrounding community, with the second floor scaled to blend with adjacent properties. The stepped podium design will have an outdoor pool on the fourth floor, cantilevered over the sidewalk, for a statement feature. The pool will also be embellished by accent lighting and a green wall. Amenity spaces will be created by the terraced form and the roof space, which will feature views of the Hollywood hills

Essey Construction Company is listed as a contractor for the site. The $100 million project is expected to finish in 2021 and open at the beginning of 2022.
