Construction has topped out for 750 South Oxford Avenue in Koreatown, Los Angeles. Cal-Coast acquired the site in 2015 in conjunction with East Coast partner Rescore. Bernards Builders Inc. is the primary contractor. It has been entitled “The Rise.”

The seven-story structure will be 98 feet tall, 312 feet long, and 277 feet wide. The total floor area of the building will be 369,600 square feet. It will contain 364 residential units in the upper five stories. 15 of the units will be low-income housing, and 22 will be moderate income. There will also be 52,000 square feet of retail, with a regional grocer as the anchoring commercial tenant.

Below grade, there will be two levels of parking. There will be 112 compact, 15 disabled, and 460 standard parking stalls. Plans also include space for 397 long-term and 64 short-term bicycle parking spaces. Additional amenities include a swimming pool and 9,044 square feet of landscape space.

Nadel Architects drafted designs for the project. Based on current progress, it appears the building will not reach the projected completion of the first quarter of 2021, though finishing by the end of the year seems possible. At the time of filing, the permit valuation for construction was $61.4 million.
