Permits have been filed seeking the approval of constructing a new six-story apartment building at 1432 South Beverly Drive. The project proposal includes demolishing an existing duplex to construct the new apartment building. The Albert Group Architects is managing the design concepts and construction of the project.

The total area of the project site is 7,075 square feet. The area of the proposed construction is 16,388 square feet. The building facade rise to a height of sixty-seven feet. The apartment building will house fifteen units and out of which two units are reserved for very low-income household. The project also proposes twenty-two parking spaces at subterranean level along with twenty-four bicycle parking spaces.

Residence will be a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom,, and three-bedroom units, averaging approximately 641 square feet of area for one-bedroom units, 700 square feet for two-bedroom units, and 1,027 square feet for three-bedroom units. Some one and two-bedroom units will include a loft space. The ground floor includes an entrance lobby and an office along the building’s frontage at Alcott Street and Beverly Drive. Levels two through six hold the all of the residential units. Each level also includes a trash room and chute connecting to the trash room at the ground level.
The estimated date of project completion has not been announced yet.
