The exterior of 838 La Brea Avenue, in Mid-Wilshire, is nearing completion. The project is in development by Wiseme Residential. It aims to bring more residential and commercial space to the popular street.

The building is six stories high. It is 66.92 feet tall, 124.58 feet long, and 103.33 feet wide. It has 39,280 square feet of floor. Inside there will be 53 residential units, 6 of which are for extremely low-income housing. The residential units will be above one ground level of commercial space.

1,388 square feet of landscaping will decorate the exterior. Below-ground parking will include space for 12 compact, one disabled, and 31 standard car parking stalls. 59 long-term and eight short-term bicycle parking spaces are also included. Bus stops are at both corners of the block.
Uriu & Associates designed the project, which included a density bonus for adding low-income housing. Framing is starting to rise at the development next door, and a small shopping center is on the other side of the location with a coffee shop, wedding chapel, and music lessons. $7.8 million was the permit valuation at the time of filing.
