Excavation is well underway for construction of a new mixed-use development at 7500 and 7550 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The properties, next door to each other, are in development by Faring Capital. They will bring street-front retail and restaurants to this section of Sunset Boulevard, as well as provide denser housing.

Dubbed the East and West buildings, both locations will be five stories high, at 66 feet tall. They will be tiered on the fourth and fifth levels. Both will have retail on the ground floor and a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments above, totaling 236 units. A few of the apartments will be low-income housing.

Each building will have three levels of underground parking, outdoor dining areas, and drought-tolerant landscaping. They will have separate decks and fitness centers. The East building will have a pool. The East Building will have 168,509 total square feet and the West 127,050 square feet. The East Building will be on a triangular-shaped lot due to remnants of the Pacific Electric Railway. The West building will be on the rectangular-shaped lot.
KFA Architecture designed the complex, which was approved as a single project in 2018. Concurrent construction of the sites aims to reduce the overall construction timeline. The site was the former location of Meltdown Comics.
