424 North Firmin Street has topped out in Westlake. The project will be made of entirely low-income housing, and increase density in the area. The site was previously two smaller homes. Decro Corporation and Innovative Housing Opportunities are collaborating to bring about the development.

When completed, the building will be 86 feet tall, 110 feet long, and 95 feet wide. There will be seven stories, with a total of 47,700 square feet of floor. 64 units will be inside. 45 apartments will fall under the extremely low-income tier, and 19 under the low-income tier. There will be 28 studios, 17 one-bedroom, 15 two-bedroom, and 4 three-bedroom layouts.

Amenities will include a community room with a fully equipped kitchen, a landscaped outdoor space, supportive services offices, and a laundry room. 2 compact, 1 disabled, and 9 standard parking spaces will be provided. 51 long-term and 5 short-term bicycle parking spaces will be on site. The closest bus stop is about a block away, at the corner of Temple and Boylston.

Dahlin Group is behind the design. The permit valuation, at the time of filing, was $8.1 million. Construction is expected to wrap up in May of 2022.
