Named Aster, the project will bring 218 residential units into an eight-story building. The residential units will be offered as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments. The built-up floor area will range from 40 square feet to 1,435 square feet. The building will include retail space spanning an area of 7,300 square feet on the ground floor. A two-level subterranean parking garage with a capacity of 312 vehicles will be developed on the site.

Renderings reveal a contemporary podium-style building with a facade designed in cement plaster and metal panels. The building will include a brick veneer in the facade of its lower floors. Plans show a mix of on-site amenities, including two outdoor decks at the podium level, a roof terrace, a fitness center, and a club room.

Construction of Aster is expected to occur over an 18-to-24-month period, placing its scheduled completion date in the second half of 2023.

The project site is located at the southwest corner of Broadway and Long Beach Boulevard, adjacent to Metro A Line’s 1st Street Station.

When announcing projects like these, it would be helpful if YIMBY would also provide information on sales office or unit information that may be available for those readers that may be interested in reserving a pre-construction residential unit.
