Upsized plans have been revealed for a new housing complex proposed at 1282 North Fairfax in West Hollywood. The project proposal includes the development of a housing complex adjacent to a church. An update to the state’s density bonus law is allowing developers to build taller and denser structures.
South Park Group is the project developer. Plus Architects is responsible for the design concepts and construction.
The project proposed a five-story apartment complex featuring 25 apartments, slated for construction near the Crescent Heights Methodist Episcopal Church. The project, slated to replace a two-story structure, proposed five affordable units and basement parking for 25 cars.
An updated plan revealed a taller six-story edifice that will feature 29 studio and one-bedroom dwellings. The amount of parking, open space, and the building footprint will remain the same as the original proposal.
Renderings reveal an exterior designed in stucco and metal. Onsite amenities and landscaped open spaces at street level will be designed on the site.
The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet. The project site is located at the intersection of Fairfax Avenue and Fountain Avenue.
