A new apartment complex has been proposed at 1177 37th Place in Exposition Place, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a five-story apartment building, replacing a triplex on the site.

The development is an infill project with an ADU. A single-family home and a duplex will be demolished to make way for a larger multifamily residential development. The five-story complex will feature eight apartments. Plans call for a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom dwellings. One of the units will be added as an accessory dwelling unit (ADU).
Requested entitlements filed by applicant include Transit Oriented Incentives to achieve greater density than allowed by the property’s zoning, as well as a reduction in required on-site automobile parking to seven stalls. One apartment would be set aside as affordable housing at the very low-income level in exchange for the incentives.

Renderings reveal a design showcasing a box-like low-rise structure with an amenity deck on the top. The project is under review and an estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
The property site is located a block west of the USC campus in Exposition Park.
