A new permanent supportive housing continues to take shape at 718-722 East Rose Avenue in Venice, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a four-story supportive housing project, replacing VCHC’s former office on the site.
Venice Community Housing Corp (VCHC) is the project developer. Brooks + Scarpa is responsible for the design concepts.
The project calls for a four-story housing complex featuring 35 apartments. The residences will be offered as a mix of studios and one-bedroom apartments reserved for transition-aged youth and persons who have experienced chronic homelessness. Plans call for 17 parking spaces on the property’s ground level, as well as room for on-site service providers, and a 2,500-square-foot replacement office for VCHC.
Rose Avenue apartments are expected to offer monthly rents ranging between $548 and $913 per month. Renderings reveal a low-rise structure built with wood framing and a U-shaped footprint centered on a landscaped central courtyard.
The project secured $20.6-million in funding. The property site is located toward the west of Lincoln Boulevard
