Mixed-Use Rising At 6569 Van Nuys Boulevard, Los Angeles

A new mixed-use building is rising on its foundation at 6569 Van Nuys Boulevard in Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a five-story building offering retail and residential spaces. The new mixed-use replaced a single-story retail building on the site.

An entity affiliated with Braum Construction & Management is the property owner. Ketter Construction is responsible for the designs.

The project will bring a five-story mixed-use building, offering 174 units. The building will also offer ground-floor retail space spanning 18,400 square feet. Underground parking for 400 vehicles will be established on the site. Project entitlements include density bonus incentives, requiring that 10 of the new studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments be set aside for very low-income households in exchange for permitting a larger building than allowed by zoning rules.

Renderings reveal a podium-type building, which is shown in plans with a contemporary look and amenities such as a swimming pool, a fitness center, and multiple outdoor decks.

Construction of the apartment complex will occur over an approximately 15-month period. The project site is located at the southwest corner of Van Nuys Boulevard and Kittridge Street.
