A new senior housing project is taking shape and form at 1216 Nadeau Street in Florence-Firestone. The project proposal includes the construction of an affordable housing community for seniors offering residential units and onsite amenities.

Affirmed Housing Group is the project developer. BSB Design is responsible for the designs.

Named The Remi, the project has reached vertical construction for its new six-story façade, featuring 92 residences. The units will be offered as a mix of studios and one-bedroom apartments reserved for low-income and formerly homeless seniors.

Renderings reveal a contemporary podium-type building with a red and white exterior. Plans also call for a roof terrace, as well as other open spaces for gatherings.

Funding sources for the project include Capital One, Red Stone Equity Partners, Los Angeles County, the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee, and Century Housing. The project is among 10 total L.A. County affordable housing developments to date from Affirmed Housing.

Construction of the apartment complex, which began in early 2022, is on track for completion in Summer 2024.
