A new residential project is under construction at 2400 Long Beach Boulevard, Midtown, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a five-story building offering space for retail use and apartments  at affordable rates. The housing complex will be built along the A Line’s right-of-way. It replaced a school bus depot on the site.

Meta Housing Corp is the project developer. The Architects Collective is responsible for the designs.

The new project will bring 194 apartments and retail into a five-story building. Commercial space spanning an area of 5,622 square feet will be developed on the ground floor. The units will be designed as a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom floor plans, with rents set for households earning between 30 and 70 percent of the area’s median income level.
