Affordable Housing Unwrapped At 437 South Westlake Avenue In Westlake

A new affordable housing project has been unveiled at its project site at 437 South Westlake Avenue in Westlake. The project proposal includes the construction of a new five-story building offering 63 apartments at affordable rates.

Community Development Partners is the project developer. Architecture Design Collaborative is responsible for the designs.

Seven months into construction, the exterior of a new permanent supportive housing complex has been unwrapped. Named the Lake House development, the project proposes a new five-story building featuring 63 apartment units at affordable rates. The units will be designed as a mix of studios and one-bedroom apartments. The units will be reserved for households earning 30 percent or less than the area’s median income level.

Apartments at Lake House will range from 400 to 550 square feet in size. Each will come furnished, and provide access to common features including supportive services, a rooftop deck, a ground-floor community room, and a courtyard.

Renderings reveal a contemporary podium-type building that matches the finished product. The project site is located one block northeast of MacArthur Park.
