The project site is an empty parcel located near Lorraine Street and 8th Street. The scope of work includes the construction of a new six-story building featuring 70 residential units at affordable rates. The units will be designed as a mix of studios and one-bedroom apartments. One manager’s units will be designed within the building which will be available at market rates. No onsite parking has been proposed as of now.

The apartments will be reserved for households at low-income and moderate-income levels. This renders the proposal eligible for utilizing incentives to allow for a larger building than allowed by zoning rules, along with other design wavers.

The project will come into success through the Mayor’s Executive Directive 1. The project site is located near the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Wilshire Boulevard. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.

  1. Could a proposal be any less attractive….and what’s with the trees in boxes?
LA is America’s second city but day after day the most embarrassing proposals get posted.
Look at Miami, boomtown with fairly gorgeous proposals every day.

    • Agree… Miami will soon take the crown as America’s Second City. LA should be referred to as America’s Number 1 Suburb, or simply, First Suburb.

  2. Los Angeles has become the hotbed of greed..developers who don’t care about existing neighborhood and a mayor… well, let’s build a housing project such as this in her backyard…

MIAMI is beautiful in their structure and look.
