A new residential project has been proposed for development at 901 West Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica. The project proposal includes the construction of a new five-story building offering . The project site is currently developed with commercial buildings that may be demolished.
DFH Architects is responsible for the designs.
The scope of work includes the demolition of the existing commercial buildings to bring a new five-story mixed-use building offering 45 residential units above a single level of subterranean parking. The units will be designed as a mix of studios and one-bedroom floor plans. Out of the total, five units will be set aside as affordable housing units.
Renderings reveal a facade designed in stucco and wood.
The project proposal was submitted to the City of Santa Monica last year. The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet. The project site is a corner lot located at Pico Street and 9th Street.
