A new set of renderings have been revealed for a production studio campus proposed for development at 3701 West Stocker Street in Baldwin Hills, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a production campus featuring four soundstages.
Illinois-based developer 4SBay Partners, LLC is the project developer. JGM is responsible for the designs.
Named Stocker Street Creative, the production studio calls for the redevelopment of the site with five buildings: a three-story, 36,000-square-foot structure at Stocker and Santa Rosalia Drive featuring 24,000 square feet of offices above 11,500 square feet of ground-floor restaurant space; a six-story, 133,000-square-foot structure fronting Stocker which would include 88,000 square feet of offices, 44,400 square feet of production support space, and a 9,000-square-foot rooftop restaurant and garden; a building fronting Don Felipe Drive with 30,000-square-foot soundstages; a building located along the northern property line with 19,200-square-foot soundstages and a 13,000-square-foot mill shop; and a five-story, 370-car parking structure at the northeast corner of the site with a 3,000-square-foot community room at street level.
Plans also call for a 31,000-square-foot landscaped central plaza, as well as a “paseo” off of Santa Rosalia Drive.
A presentation has been scheduled on November 7 for the Crenshaw Corridor Design Review Board.
