A new residential project has been approved for construction at 5785 West Corbett Street in Baldwin Hills, Los Angeles. The project proposal included the development of a new eight-story residential complex offering 80 apartments and onsite parking.
Kaveh Bral is listed as the project applicant. Architect Sam Ghanouni is responsible for the designs.
After a year of submitting the proposal, Los Angeles City Planning Commission has finally given the approvals for constructing an eight-story apartment complex offering 80 units. The apartments will be designed as a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans. On-site parking for 103 vehicles is also proposed as a part of the project.
The Planning Commission also approved density bonus incentives for the project, permitting a larger building than would typically be allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, 11 of the new apartments will be reserved as affordable housing at the very low-income level.
The project site is an empty parcel located toward south of La Cienega/Jefferson Station in Baldwin Hills.
The contemporary low-rise structure will also showcase a central courtyard and a rooftop deck. The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
