New Housing Proposed at 3405 West Carson Street and 21405-21515 Madrona Avenue, Torrance

A new housing project has been proposed for development at 3405 West Carson Street and 21405-21515 Madrona Avenue in Torrance. The project proposal includes the development of a new residential community offering. Once approved, the residential project will replace parking and commercial buildings on the site.

Lennar Corp is the project developer. KTGY and Woodley Architectural Group are responsible for the designs.

The project site is a large parcel spanning an area of 16 acres. The new housing complex will rise next to Torrance’s Del Amo Fashion Center. The scope of work includes the development of 260 apartments, amenities, parking, and open space. Plans call for 37 different buildings containing a mix of two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom townhomes.

Proposed buildings will rise up to four- and five stories in height and feature parapet roofs, fiber cement horizontal siding, and contrasting tones and colors. Open landscaped areas on the site will offer space for a private park at the northeast corner of the property. The project site will offer 14,500-square-foot central open space.

The project site is located east of the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance. Pending approval construction is expected to occur over approximately 41 months.
