“Inspire” has recently opened at 1363 West Colton Street in Westlake, Los Angeles. The building was developed by Bond Companies and brings denser housing to the region. It features an expansive rooftop deck with views of Los Angeles.
The structure is seven stories tall, with five levels of apartments over one level of subterranean parking. It is 86 feet tall, 115 feet long 63 feet wide, and has 35,760 square feet and 1,440 square feet of landscape. Inside, there are 47 apartments, including studio, one, and two-bedroom floor plans. Four of the units are low-income housing.
Below grade, secured parking contains room for one disabled and 24 standard parking spaces. 47 long-term and 5 short-term bicycle parking spaces are available as well. There are electric car and bike charging stations. Additional amenities include housekeeping, on-call maintenance, night patrol, package receiving, BBQ, fire pits, and a fitness center. Vista Hermosa Park and Echo Park Deep Pool are also within walking distance.
DE Architects designed the project, featuring wood paneling and a contemporary design that help it to blend with the residential neighborhood. Essey Construction worked on the build-out. The initial permit valuation, at the time of filing, was $6.3 million. The site is currently accepting applications from potential residents.
