8th & Figueroa continues to rise at 732 South Figueroa Street, in the Financial District. Mitsui Fudosan America is behind the project, which was previously one of the few open air, at grade parking lots in the area. When completed, the project will reach 42 stories tall.
The building will have a total of 425,000 square feet of floor. Most of the square footage will go to residential space, with 438 residential units inside. They will be a mix of 80 studios, 264 one-bedroom units, and 94 two-bedroom units. Twenty-two of the total units will be low income housing.
The standout feature of the design will be the roof lounge and multiple skydecks at the top of the building, with views of the skyline of the Financial District, the Hollywood Hills and the Pacific Ocean beyond. The lobby will blend classic finishes, such as leather, wood, stone with state-of-the-art technology. Other amenities will include gardens surrounding a resort-style pool, private cabanas, a community clubhouse, a wellness center, resident lounge, collaboration spaces, and private dining.
Johnson Fain is the architectural firm for the design. Parking is included for 517 vehicles within four subterranean levels and three above-grade levels. The project is expected to start wrapping up at the end of this year.
