Construction is now complete on a new mixed-use residential building at 4008 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Baldwin Hills. The project was developed by SoLa Impact, continuing the firm’s series of affordable and workforce housing projects across South Los Angeles.
Meta Housing Corporation is advancing a new senior housing project at 21010 Vanowen Street in Canoga Park, pairing high-volume affordability with design-forward ambition. The six-story, 395-unit development is designed for low- and moderate-income senior residents and signals a maturation of Warner Center’s housing network.
Permits have been resubmitted for a redesigned residential complex at 810 North Marengo Avenue in Pasadena. The project, developed by RAM Pasadena Development, LLC and newly designed by EJA Design Studios, proposes a contemporary three-story structure with 32 apartments above subterranean parking for 52 vehicles.
Design refinements continue to define the look and feel of the Hotel Indigo rising at 515 North Central Avenue in Downtown Glendale, where the project’s evolving architecture illustrates the city’s gradual shift toward a denser, design-driven urban core. The latest design adjustments expand the building’s interior layout while maintaining its established height and massing, resulting in a more efficient plan and a stronger street presence. A new affordable housing community is moving forward at 1637 Stanford Street in Santa Monica. The six-story development, backed by Community Corp. of Santa Monica, is set to deliver 71 income-restricted apartments just south of Colorado Avenue. Community Corp., a long-standing nonprofit builder of affordable housing, is spearheading the project. Architecture is being led by Kevin Tsai Architecture, which has prepared updated plans for the nearly 67,000-square-foot building.
