AMP Lofts have opened in the Arts District of Los Angeles. Greystar Real Estate Partners is the firm behind the project, at 695 South Santa Fe Ave, which will provide artist in residents units to the community. The design includes pieces of the site’s history, such as the signage from the original tenant, AMP Automotive, after which the project is named.

The building is seven stories high with 314,600 square feet of floor. It is 86 feet tall, 383 feet long, and 243 feet wide. The upper levels contain 320 apartments, including studio, one, and two-bedroom layouts. Commercial space is on the ground level.

Amenities include a lobby, club room, sky deck, pool, spa, and fitness center. There is an art workshop and gallery to appeal to the creative community. The site has two levels of subterranean parking, contain space for 752 cars and 344 bicycles.

Steinberg Hart was the architectural firm for the project, which upcycled elements from the previous building, such as brickwork and a bowstring truss, giving the location a “factory-like feel with exposed ducts and polished concrete floors.” The initial permit valuation was $59.2 million.
