10923 West Strathmore Drive has reached full height, in Westwood. The site will consist of two separate buildings that will frame a canyon/courtyard entryway to the site, over a shared basement. 540 Landfair, LLC is developing the property to provide additional housing for UCLA students.
The overall dimensions of the project will be 57 feet tall, 175 feet long, 109 feet wide. The North building will be six stories and the South will be five. There will be 50,200 square feet of floor. The inside will contain 21 large units.
The shared basement parking will have four levels. Inside, there will be room for 86 compact, 4 disabled, and 69 standard stalls, as well as 50 long-term and 2 short-term bicycle parking spaces. Several bus lines have stops at the corner of Strathmore and Gayley, just down the street from the complex.
Jamie B. Myer Architects has the latest designs for the housing, which will offer 5,400 square feet of landscape. The site used to have a pair of 1950s apartment buildings. $12.2 million was the permit valuation at the time of filing.
