Stories are starting to rise at 4200 West Pico in Mid-City, Los Angeles. The project will bring 54 units of permanent supportive housing for seniors to the area. Wakeland, a development company that specializes in California affordable housing, is behind the project.

The building will be five stories tall, with 30,000 square feet of floor. It will be 66 feet tall, 127 feet long, and 86 feet wide. Inside, there will be 46 low-income housing units, 7 very low income, as well as a management office. The ground floor will have about 2,500 square feet of retail.

Amenities will include a community room, laundry, outdoor hardscape, and landscaped courtyards, and a roof deck. There will be 2,4000 square feet of landscape in total. The site will have 1 disabled and 3 standard parking spaces. There will be 44 long-term and 4 short-term bicycle parking spaces. A bus stop directly in front of the location will provide public transportation.

Abode Communities is behind the design, which is estimated to cost $32.7 million. It has been given the title “Amani.” Construction es expected to wrap up in the third quarter of 2022.
