Ground is moving at the corner of Pleasant Valley Road and Lewis Road, in Camarillo. Camarillo Village Homes, LLC is listed as the developer. The mixed use project forms the only commercial section of a larger project that will bring over 300 new homes to the area.
The entire, 23-acre site was used for active agricultural production since at least 1938. It was recently divided into two parcels, lots one and two. Lot one will be further divided for condominium purposes. Lot two will have three buildings, each containing eight residential units above commercial tenant spaces on a 2.82-acres.
There will be a total of 24, two-bedroom and three-bedroom townhomes. All units will have two bathrooms each. 4,000 square feet of commercial space will be at the ground level of each of the three buildings.. The second and third floors will contain four residential rental units each, ranging in size from 1,126 square feet to 1,169 square feet. The walk-up units are accessed through stairs and elevators to interior halls.
Architects Orange are behind the design. Buildings will be about 46 feet tall, not including architectural features. They will be relatively modern, with elements of Mediterranean design.
