A five story apartment building is in the works for 2700 and 2750 North Ventura Road, in Oxnard. The project is yet another expansion within the Riverpark Community Plan. Fore Properties is the developer for the project, it is part of the company’s recent expansion back into California, after nearly 30 years of investing in other locations throughout the country.
The site is 4.2 acres and is currently undeveloped. It is at the far westerly corner of the Riverpark plan, and is bordered by the North Ventura Road and the US 101 freeway. The lots to the east are also largely undeveloped, with plans for a couple of hotels to be built.
The building will have 333 units inside. 283 of the homes will be live/work designs. Fifty units will also be low income housing. Seventeen will fall under the very low housing teer, another 17 under the lower income teer, and 16 under the moderate income tier. Overall, there will be options for community households who make 30% to 120% of the average income of the region.
Renderings depict an array of amenities. The standout feature will be the roof top deck, with views of the county. It will include a pool, spa, dining areas, BBQ, ping pong table, fireplace, and a bar counter with a sink. Parking will be provided in a six level adjacent structure. A time frame for construction has not been announced.
