299 Thousand Oaks Boulevard is taking shape, in Thousand Oaks. It was approved by the city council in 2018, and is expected to open in 2022. The Latigo Group is the developer behind the project, which will bring new luxury apartments, and some commercial space to the area.
The buildings will be four stories, at no more than 50 feet tall, with the average height being about 42 feet. Because of the deep lot, the large mass of the building will be disguised from the street. The 152,000 square foot facility will contain 142 luxury apartments, 11 of which will be low income housing, and 10,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, suitable for restaurants and vendors.
Three units will be live/work designs, the rest will be made of 23 studios, 72 one bedrooms, and 44 two bedrooms. All of the units will have a balcony or terrace ranging in size from 50 to 460 square feet. Amenities will include a large plaza composed of terraces at varying depths with ample seating, outdoor dining, a pool, fitness center, and various covered seating areas on the first and second floors.
KTGY Architecture is behind the design. It is composed of three separate buildings and shared outdoor space at the front of the lot. Parking will wrap the exterior of the site and be in one below-grade level and part of the first floor.
