A new residential development has topped out at 3301 Canfield Avenue in Palms. The project proposal includes the construction of a new six-story building offering multifamily residential units and onsite parking. The project replaced three single-family homes and a triplex on the site.
Helio is the project developer. Reed Architectural Group is responsible for the designs.
The project site is located north of the 10 in Palms. Wood framing has reached its peak for the new six-story multifamily residential complex. The building brings 50 three-bedroom apartments above parking for 25 vehicles.
Helio entitled the site for development using Transit Oriented Communities incentives to permit a larger structure than would normally be allowed under zoning rules. In exchange, five of the new apartments are to be set aside for rent as deed-restricted affordable housing at the extremely low-income level.
The contemporary podium-type building will include multiple outdoor decks, as well as a gym. The estimated market availability is yet to be announced.
