A new affordable housing project is under construction at its project site at 6527 South Crenshaw Boulevard in Hyde Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a five-story building offering spaces for apartments and retail use. The project replaced a smaller market-rate apartment complex on the site.
GTM Holdings and WORKS are the project developers. Lahmon Architects is designing the apartment complex.

Named Depot at Hyde Park, the affordable housing complex has been under construction for the last eight months. Plans calls for mixed-use affordable housing complex consisting of 43 residential units and 1,500 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. A 22-car parking garage will also be developed. The apartments will also offer on-site supportive services and open space for residents.
The project construction cost is estimated at $29 million. It will cater to survivors of domestic violence. Market availability has not been announced yet. The apartment complex will be located near the K Line stations at Slauson and Florence Avenues.
