A new apartment complex is on the rise at its project site located at 12888 Crenshaw Boulevard in Gardena. The project proposal includes the construction of an eight-story building offering 200+ apartment units and onsite parking. Under construction, the eight-story building is rising just south of SpaceX headquarters.
Cityview and Stockbridge Real Estate Fund are the project developers. AC Martin is responsible for the designs.
The project broke ground last year, and now the multi-family apartment complex is nearing completion. Named Apollo, the eight-story building will bring 265 apartment units. The units are designed as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. The project will also feature a podium parking for 250 vehicles. The apartment complex features a contemporary exterior. Onsite resident amenities include a pool deck, a fitness center, and multiple courtyards.
The project was entitled for development by Blackwood Real Estate. It follows the completion of a similar project just north within Hawthorne city limits that features 230 apartments and ground-level commercial uses. That site sold earlier this year to investors who are converting the property to middle-income housing using state funding. Completion of Apollo is on track to conclude in 2025.
