An affordable housing proposal in Historic South-Central is advancing through early planning stages following a new infusion of philanthropic funding. Logos Faith Development recently announced that it has received $500,000 from the Roy and Patricia Disney Foundation, with the funds earmarked for pre-development work on a residential project planned along Crawford Street.
The proposed development would occupy a site at 3602–3604 Crawford Street and is envisioned as a three-story apartment building containing 24 homes. All of the units would be income-restricted, with the project structured to serve households using Section 8 housing vouchers, positioning it as a fully affordable residential offering rather than a mixed-income development.

In a statement released alongside the funding announcement, Logos Faith Development leadership characterized the Disney Foundation grant as a key step in moving the Crawford Street project toward construction. While the development remains in its pre-development phase, current timelines anticipate a construction start in 2026.
The Crawford Street proposal forms part of a larger pipeline of housing projects being assembled by Logos Faith Development. The organization has indicated that its broader portfolio exceeds $500 million in value and includes plans for more than 2,000 housing units across multiple neighborhoods, including a recently announced project along Central Avenue in Watts.
If realized, the Crawford Street development would add a modest number of permanently affordable homes in Historic South-Central, leveraging early-stage philanthropic support to advance a project focused on long-term housing stability.
