A new residential project has been proposed for development at 15101 Crenshaw Boulevard in Alondra Park. The project proposal includes the construction of a new seven-story apartment building offering 200+ residential units. Plans call for the demolition of a shuttered gas station on the site.
Vargas Properties is listed as the project developer. Rahman Engineering is responsible for the designs.
The scope of work includes the construction of a new seven-story apartment complex offering 222 apartment units. All units will be designed as studios with floor plans ranging between 200 square feet to 250 square feet. No on-site parking has been proposed at this time.
The project will utilize density bonus incentives to permit a larger building than would otherwise be allowed on the site by zoning. In exchange, 15 of the apartments are to be set aside for rent by low-income, very low-income, and extremely low-income households.
The project step is located toward the southwest corner of Crenshaw Boulevard and Marine Avenue. A project application has been submitted to the City Planning Commission, awaiting review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
