New design changes have been proposed for a mixed-use residential project proposed at 2025 Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica. The project proposal includes the development of an eight-story mixed-use apartment building offering 150 dwelling units. The project requires the demolition of the existing commercial buildings on the site.

Cypress Equity Investments is the project developer. DLR Group is responsible for the designs.

New design iterations have been shared for a proposed mixed-use apartment complex. The scope of work includes the construction of a new eight-story mixed-use building offering 150 units. The units will be designed as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom floor plans. The mixed-use will also feature 8,556 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Parking will be provided in a subterranean parking structure with a capacity of 149 cars.

The developer is required to set aside 15 apartments as affordable housing. Renderings reveal a modern look for the building facade;  dwelling units will be wrapped around a central courtyard and stacked above a podium. Plans call for a three-level opening on the southern facade, allowing views between the courtyard and Wilshire Boulevard.

The Santa Monica Architectural Review Board is scheduled to review the proposed changes. The project was originally planned as a smaller 46-unit complex, but was subsequently expanded to its current size after CEI acquired a site at the corner of Wilshire and 21st Street.

The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
