A new affordable housing project has been proposed for development at 665 East Adams Boulevard in the Historic South-Central in Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a five-story building offering affordable housing options. The project would replace a shuttered church on the site.

Goldfin Ventures is the project applicant. Metropolis Architecture is responsible for the designs.

The scope of work includes the construction of a new five-story building featuring 92 studio and one-bedroom apartments. No onsite parking has been proposed at this time. Except for one market-rate manager’s unit, all of the apartments will be restricted to rent by low- and moderate-income households.

The contemporary low-rise design will feature two courtyards and a small rear yard.

The project site could be redeveloped through the Mayor’s Executive Directive 1. An application has been submitted to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning, pending review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet. The project site was sold in June 2023 for $1.3 million.
