A new mixed-use project has reached completion and is almost ready for occupancy at 601 Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica. The project proposal included the development of a new four-story mixed-use complex offering spaces for 40 apartments over ground-floor retail use. The project site previously housed a commercial building that was demolished.
Cypress Equity Investments is the project developer. KFA Architecture is responsible for the designs. Ottinger Architects is serving as the project’s architect of record.
The scope of work included the construction of a new four-story mixed-use complex offering 40 apartments and commercial space spanning an area of 6,200 square feet. The units are designed as a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom,, and three-bedroom floor plans.
Plans also call for 92 parking spaces in a three-level subterranean garage. Onsite amenities include a rooftop deck, co-working space, a pet spa, and a central courtyard.
The project site is located at the intersection of 6th Street and Wilshire Boulevard.
