Ground is starting to move at 2400 Channel Drive, in Ventura. The project, by Warmington Residential, will bring 72 new townhomes to the once industrial area, located between residential streets and train tracks. 14 of the units will be affordable housing, falling under the moderate income tier.

The entire site is 4.3 acres. The layout will be made of 15 buildings, each two to three stories tall, none reaching more than 45 feet in height. There will be four designs, ranging from two bedroom two bathrooms at 15,000 square feet, to three bedrooms and a loft with two and a half bathrooms at 2,100 square feet.

Every unit will have garage parking, totalling in 144 garage parking spaces plus 13 guest parking spaces. Two spaces will be for electric vehicles. An additional 29 spaces will be on Channel Drive.

KTGY Architecture is behind the design. Plans include 45,400 square feet of common open space, and 25,00 square feet of private decks and patios. Amenities will include a central courtyard, a covered picnic area, and a barbecue. The units are intended to be for-sale only.
