The two-story, mixed-use structure will have upgraded infrastructure and floorplans. Midwood aims to attract creative office users, restaurants, and retailers who want to be located in the popular area. “Renovation of The Bilak Building will result in a truly exceptional commercial building. Discerning companies are seeking unique spaces with character and this building will be a major draw,” stated Yansy Naranjo, Senior Associate of Avision Young, which is handling leasing within the site.

Additional benefits of the site include a number of galleries, live music venues, eateries, and historical landmarks close by, with additional hotels, high-end retail and restaurants, and a multi-cultural performing arts center in the works. MacArthur Park is across the street, and is currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar renovation. The Westlake/MacArthur Park Metro station is adjacent to the site, providing easily accessible public transportation.

  1. Given all of the amenities, public transportation and the park access, it’s curious that the renovation doesn’t include at least a partial roof/tower addition of residential units. This would be a prime location!! (tower could be set back from the facades, and have a smaller footprint leaving a roof deck on the 2 story building……

  2. I am interested in either a one bedroom one bath or a single.
Moving day is flexible maybe August 1st.
Do you accept section 8 ?
I am extremely clean, no pets, non-smoker.
    Bet regards,

  3. This is a horrible area with rampant crime.
