A small-scale infill proposal along Wilkins Avenue aims to introduce family-sized housing within a dense Westwood neighborhood. Under a new application filed with the Los Angeles Department of City Planning, the existing 1930s single-family home at 10621 Wilkins Avenue would be replaced by a three-story building containing six three-bedroom apartments above a ground-level 14-space parking facility.
A new mixed-use project is moving forward at 5879 West Pico Boulevard, just west of Fairfax Avenue. The City of Los Angeles has approved plans to replace an existing commercial property with a contemporary residential and retail building, adding to the steady wave of mid-rise construction along the Pico corridor. Pico Fairfax LLC is listed as the applicant, with design work led by AFCO Design.
Work on 919 South Harvard Boulevard is wrapping up, in Koreatown. The project has been titled “E on Harvard,” according to the property management website by Moss and Company. The site received a 70 percent density bonus by making 10 percent of the units low-income housing.
New apartments have been unveiled at 3160 West Riverside Drive in Silverlake, Los Angeles. The site used to be a gas station and required environmental remediation before the developer, Bolour, could begin construction. The building will increase density in the area through low-income housing incentives. Some renderings refer to structure as “The Lark.”
Ground has yet to broken at 5181 West Adams Boulevard, in Mid City Los Angeles, although the lot has been cleared. 4D Development is behind the project, which will feature studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments on the nearly one-acre site. The site has been dubbed “East on Adams.”
