A new residential development is taking its form in wood and concrete framing at 500 South Oxford Avenue in Koreatown, Los Angeles. The project proposal consists of a seven-story residential building.
Irvine-based firm Fred & Jamison LLC is the project developer and is tied to a Korean real estate firm Sireus Corp. Ketter Group is managing the design concepts and construction.
The multi-family apartment building will rise on a previously vacant lot and will bring 89 residential units. A two-level basement parking garage with a capacity of 201 vehicles is also proposed. On-site amenities are inclusive of an open-air atrium and a podium-top pool deck amongst other common amenities on the first floor.
Renderings reveal a mid-rise structure in contemporary styles.
Inland Development is the general contractor; the project broke ground last year, and construction began in March 2020. The estimated cost of construction is $32 million.
The property site is located at the southeast corner of the intersection at 5th Street and Oxford Avenue. The project neighbors other apartment complexes and mixed-use facilities.
