Construction Finished at 3050 Kadota Street, in Simi Valley

Construction has finished at 3050 Kadota Street, in Simi Valley. The site has 48 new single family homes, as well as a private dog park, on 11.7 acres. Darling Development Group is behind the project.

There used to be an elementary school at the location, which was then used as a church and preschool. The new homes have three separate plans, each plan comes in three different styles: Spanish, traditional, and ranch-style. They range from 2,400 to 2,800 square feet each. Every plan includes a two car garage.

Additional infrastructure includes tan, split-face block walls behind lots one to six and all public exposed walls. There are two new public streets with cul-de-sacs that end in turnarounds. The dog park, at the corner of Kadota Street and Big Springs Avenue, has a locked gate for residents due to the retention basin maintenance requirement, so that it may be maintained by the Homeowner’s Association.

William Hezmalhalch Architects designed the project, with L.A Group Design Works as the landscape architects, and Randy Toedter as the civil engineer. Gray and beige building colors were chosen, with white and brown trim. Other elements include concrete S-tile roofs, concrete slate-tile roofs, concrete shake-tile roofs, faux clay pipes, foam trim around the windows, decorative lighting, decorative garage doors with windows, decorative courtyard fencing, shutters, gable end siding, columns, and stone veneer.
