New Townhomes have been proposed for the Northeast corner of Pleasant Valley and Lewis Roads, in Camarillo. Williams Homes, of Santa Clarita, is listed as the developer for the project. Several extensions have been filed delaying the project, although plans were approved in 2016.
The site is nearly 20 acres of farmland, close to several other recent developments, some farmland, and an industrial zone. The proposal calls for 285 Townhomes. 29 of the units will be set aside for moderate income housing.
Buildings will be divided into four, six, and eight plex layouts. They will be two to three stories, with garage parking on the ground floor. Designs include a recreation building and a fitness center. The working name for the plan is “Camarillo Village Homes.”
Architects Orange are behind the design. Renderings depict a modern mediterranean aesthetic with stucco exteriors. Elements include “s” tile roofs, stone and brick accents, and metal railings. The plan approval expires in September of 2022.
