The application for a multifamily complex located at 635 Los Angeles Avenue, in Moorpark, has been approved. The project will bring 63 new units to the popular stretch of the city. Ketter Group is behind the design, which has been given the name “Green Island Villas.”
The complex layout will be made of 17 two-story residential buildings. There will be a total of 11 two-bedroom units and 52 three-bedroom units. A one-story, 1,900 square-foot, recreational center aims to include a recreation room, fitness center, and restrooms.
Outdoors there will be an 800 square-foot swimming pool, play ground, dog park and associated landscape and hardscape site improvements. There will be 74,800 square feet of landscaped area overall and 11,400 square feet of open space. Each unit will include a two-car garage. A total of 35 surface guest parking spaces will be dispersed throughout the site, bringing the total to 126 parking spaces.
The site is a 4.01-acre lot. Primary street access to the property will be provided by California State Route 118 (Los Angeles Avenue). Residents will have secondary access via the east, through the adjacent Mission Bell Plaza shopping center.
