A new mixed-use project is under construction at 1341 Gardena Boulevard in Gardena. The project proposal includes the development of a three-story building offering retail and residential spaces. The project calls for the demolition of an existing single-story building used as the Gardena Valley YMCA.
Los Angeles-based real estate firm South Bay Developers is the project developer.
1341 Gardena Boulevard Site
The project site is houses a vacant building that was once home to the Gardena Valley YWCA. The site has been razed for the mixed-use apartment complex, a new three-story building spanning an area of 22,700 square feet.
Renderings reveal a contemporary low-rise building with a brick exterior on its two lower levels and a rooftop terrace above. Plans call for a total of 15 residential units as well as ground-floor retail space.
Site prep has begun, however, an estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
