A new residential project has been approved for construction at 1436 Jefferson Boulevard in Exposition Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new six-story building offering residential units and onsite parking. The new building will replace a single-family home and two small commercial buildings on the site.
Orion Capital is the project developer. JPark Architects is responsible for the designs.
Los Angeles City Planning Commission has given a green light for the development of an apartment complex located east of Normandie Avenue. Plans call for the construction of a six-story building featuring 60 residential units. The residences will be built as a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments. A subterranean parking garage for 29 vehicles will also be designed on the premises.
In exchange for density bonus incentives permitting a larger structure with less on-site parking than required by zoning rules, Orion is required to set aside six of the new apartments for rent as deed-restricted affordable housing at the very low-income level.
Renderings showcase a contemporary podium-type building with an amenity deck on the rear side of the building. The estimated project construction timeline has not been announced yet.
