A new affordable housing community is now ready for occupancy at 437 South Westlake Avenue in Westlake. The project proposal included the development of a five-story building offering affordable housing options.
Community Development Partners is the project developer. Architecture Design Collaborative is responsible for the designs.
Named The Lake House, the project is located one block north of MacArthur Park. The scope of work included the development of a five-story building featuring 62 apartments as affordable and supportive housing. The apartments are designed as a mix of studios and one-bedroom floor plans, available for households earning 30 percent or less than the area’s median income level. The property also features one market-rate manager’s unit.
Renderings reveal a modern design for the community, featuring an exterior of stucco and metal. The Center in Hollywood will provide case management and supportive services for residents.
Available apartments range in size from 355 to 523 square feet, and come furnished with appliances and vinyl flooring. The complex also offers community rooms, a computer room, a courtyard, and a rooftop deck.
