A new affordable housing has been proposed for development at 6010 North Klump Avenue in North Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new six-story building offering 53 residential units at affordable rates. If approved, the project will require the demolition of the existing single-family residence on the site.

Building Bloch Capital is the project developer. Aero Collective is responsible for the designs.

The scope of work includes the construction of a six-story building featuring 53 studio and one-bedroom apartments without on-site parking. As all of the apartments would be reserved for low-income households, except for a single market-rate manager’s unit, the project will be eligible for density bonus incentives permitting a larger structure than zoning rules would normally allow. The developer is seeking entitlements using the streamlined procedures created by the Mayor’s Executive Directive 1.

Renderings reveal a facade clad in painted cement plaster.

A project application has been submitted to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning, pending review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.

The project site is located toward north of Oxnard Street in North Hollywood.
