A new affordable housing project has been proposed for development at a project site in Los Angeles, located at 5151 Denny Avenue in North Hollywood. The project proposal includes the construction of a new five-story building offering 80 apartments as affordable housing options. Once approved, the project will call for the demolition of a pair of fourplexes on the site.
HVN Development is the project developer. Stockton Architects is responsible for the designs.
Plans call for the construction of a five-story building offering 80 affordable housing apartments. All units will be designed as two-bedroom floor plans. No on-site parking has been proposed at this time.
The proposed project will be constructed utilizing Executive Directive 1. And therefore, the project is eligible for density bonus incentives permitting a larger structure than otherwise allowed by zoning rules. Except for one manager’s apartment, all apartments will be available for rent to moderate-income, low-income, and very low-income households.
Renderings reveal a contemporary podium-type with a facade expressed in white and blue stucco.
A project application has been submitted to the Planning Department for review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
